Cary Joji Fukunaga Signs On As New 'Bond 25' Director
Cary Joji Fukunaga has signed on to direct the next James Bond film, with a confirmed release date of 14 February 2020.
Fukunaga, known for directing 'True Detective' Season 1, will helm 'Bond 25' after Danny Boyle left the project due to creative differences three months before production was due to start.
The project will be delayed from its original 2019 release date, with filming expected to commence at Pinewood Studios in March.
Regular bond scribes Neal Purvis and Robert Wade have also recently joined the project to write a new version of John Hodge's original screenplay.
In a statement, producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli said: "We are delighted to be working with Cary. His versatility and innovation make him an excellent choice for our next James Bond adventure."
