VertigoXmedia launches new Election Graphics System

VertigoXmedia, a leading developer of broadcast graphics automation solutions, has announced the launch of a new turnkey election package, the Xmedia Election Graphics System.
The comprehensive package offers broadcasters a cost-effective alternative to custom election systems by integrating off-the-shelf hardware and software tools with customisable graphics templates, providing everything a broadcaster needs to produce compelling, up-to-the-minute election coverage.
VertigoXmedia has successfully delivered some of the highest profile election productions in the United States, Canada, and elsewhere since 1996. The new election package allows customers to benefit from this experience and take advantage of the same tools used by the company's production team to develop end-to-end, made-to-order election productions.
"Typically, a complete election package requires extensive on-site set-up and integration, but our Xmedia Election Graphics System offers the benefits and expertise of a custom election package in a cost-effective, straightforward, do-it-yourself solution," said VertigoXmedia CEO David Wilkins. "Designed specifically for the small to mid-size broadcaster, it provides pre-built, broadcast-grade templates that make it easy to create compelling coverage. And once election night is over, the system can be repurposed easily for daily use in the station's live news, sports, and weather productions."
The Xmedia Election Graphics System is based on the latest generation of VertigoXmedia's Producer Xmedia, a powerful platform for automatically creating, controlling, and delivering real-time, dynamic content. Because the new system includes all the software applications and hardware necessary to create, edit, and control election graphics, it allows operators to create broadcast-ready graphics directly from the desktop, drop those graphics into pre-defined templates, link them to live data sources, and insert them into playlists - all without writing a single line of software code.
Election-specific templates allow users to create full-screen graphics, tickers, and charts that are customisable to reflect the station's look or identity. Data may be entered manually or linked to election news feeds from sources such as the Associated Press, and production staff can use the system's editorial interfaces to browse election results via any Web browser.
The integrated control screen enables operators to build playlists ahead of time and then modify them on the fly. The system is available with VertigoXmedia's VertigoCG, or can interface with industry-standard CG systems from Chyron, Pinnacle, Inscriber, and other manufacturers.
