'Good Morning Britain' To Air One-Off Evening Special

A one-off evening special of ITV's popular breakfast show Good Morning Britain is to air this summer.

Good Evening Britain will air on 28 June immediately after an England's crucial World Cup group match against Belgium. Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid will host the one hour special, starting at 9.15pm.

With famous faces dropping by the studio to offer their opinion on the match result and other news, Good Evening Britain will focus on all the controversial, amusing and memorable moments of the night alongside the other news, current affairs and showbiz stories of the day.
 
Announcing the news on the show today, Piers Morgan said: "You know you think you've had enough of me in the mornings? Good news Britain, you're going to get a load of me in the evenings because we are having our first ever Good Evening Britain.
 
"We are coming to primetime – we're actually very excited about it. I won't have to go to bed for that until about mid-afternoon, it's going to be great."
 
Emma Gormley, Managing Director of ITV Studios, Daytime said: "We are excited to introduce one of our flagship shows to the evening schedule. It promises to be a lively 60 minute event, filled with all of the ingredients that make GMB so unmissable."
 
Good Evening Britain is an ITV Studios Daytime commission for ITV. It was commissioned by ITV Head of Entertainment Siobhan Greene and Entertainment Commissioning Executive, Gayani Wanigaratne. The series producer is Mark Kiff.
