Pro-Bel win On Sight contract for HD router

Soho-based equipment hire company On Sight have placed an order for a Pro-Bel Sirius HD router, which will form the core of their state-of-the-art Berners Street dubbing facility.
The purchase was made through broadcast systems integrator VSC Design.
Pro-Bel invented in-router A-to-D and D-to-A conversion in their compact Freeway routers. Sirius takes the next step offering systems up to 256 x 256 with totally transparent and automatic conversion of any input to any output, analogue or digital. Inbuilt crosspoint cards switch AES, SDI, ASI and HDTV signals.
The Pro-Bel Sirius router has become outstandingly successful worldwide since its debut at IBC 2002, with many orders for Sirius HD routers coming from Asia, Europe and the US. Third parties have also been drawn to the vast array of benefits that Sirius provides. For example, digital signal processing manufacturer Snell & Wilcox selected Sirius to integrate with their HD and SD3060 switchers.
Discussing Pro-Bel's contract with On Sight, Ray Barnard, On Sight's Operations Manager, said: "We are very happy to be working with Pro-Bel. I have used Pro-Bel routers in the past and have always been impressed with their reliability and software. The Pro-Bel router is the heart of our state-of-the-art dubbing installation."
