BBC Wales purchase Pro-Bel Sirius for Cardiff transmission area
Pro-Bel have announced the installation of a Sirius 64 x 96 SDI router at BBC Wales in Cardiff.
The router forms the heart of the broadcaster's newly located graphics transmission area.
Replacing the original Pro-Bel router, Sirius was chosen by BBC Wales for routing SDI vision signals, as well as for its compact size and value for money.
Hywel Mackie, BBC Wales's technology development manager is delighted with the facility's new router. He said: "Reliability is crucial to us. Also, the available space is quite limited and the condensed size of Pro-Bel Sirius offered a practical solution."
