CALREC LAUNCH REMOTE PRODUCTION VERSION OF ALPHA 100

CALREC have developed a remote production version of their Alpha 100 digital mixing console, which absorbs all digital and analogue processing into the same physical footprint as the control surface.
Calrec’s sales and marketing director John Gluck said: "Space is at an absolute premium in remote vehicles, and the new Alpha 100-OB console is the only on-air digital production desk to incorporate all the GPI and system processor cards - as well as all the analogue and DSP racks - within a standard four section control surface. All interfacing and cabling has clear and open access from the front of the desk and we have been very careful not to compromise operator comfort by maintaining a generous footwell. The Alpha 100-OB is the only digital broadcast console able to incorporate the entire processing system in this way."
The desk can be custom designed for a variety of sizes, ranging from a 60 fader/120 input console with a physical footprint of 2.39 square metres.
