NEW MANAGING DIRECTOR TO JOIN PEPPER

LONDON–based broadcast television and film post-production facility, Pepper have announced the appointment of Patrick Holzen as Managing Director.
Holzen replaces previous Managing Director Adrian Martin who left in December to move to Los Angeles.
A qualified chartered accountant, Holzen held various positions in his native South Africa before moving to London in 1997 to pursue his film and television interests.
He gained his first role in the UK in May 1997 as Head of Finances for a post-production company owned by the Barnes Trust. In May 1998 Holzen joined Carlton-owned post-production company TVI as Finance Director, where he remained until its acquisition by 4MC in June 1999. After overseeing the handover, Holzen was approached to remain within the Carlton group and became Financial Controller of distribution company Carlton International Media.
After taking nine months out in 2001 to develop personal projects, including scripting two screenplays, Holzen was approached for the role of MD at Pepper.
“I am delighted to join the Pepper team, especially as the facility’s reputation is very much in the ascendancy,“ commented Holzen. “The kit, talent and commitment at Pepper is exceptional and I look forward to taking the company into its next phase.”
Broadcast and film post-production facility located in Central London, Pepper has a combination of vastly experienced and respected operators and the industry's cutting edge equipment. Pepper was the first company in the world to purchase an Avid|DS HD, to join their two C-Reality telecines.
Pepper’s recent broadcast credits include ‘Midsomer Murders’ (Bentley Productions Ltd for ITV), ‘Anybody’s Nightmare’ (Carlton for ITV), ‘Armadillo’ (BBC), ‘Residents’ (BBC), ‘Trial & Retribution’ (La Plante Productions for ITV), ‘The Sins’ (BBC), ‘London’s Burning’ (LWT), ‘South Bank Show’ (LWT), ‘Nicholas Nickelby’ (Nickelby TV Ltd), ‘The Naked Chef’ (Optomen Television Ltd for BBC TV) and ‘Lenny Henry in Pieces’ (Tiger Aspect for BBC TV).
Recent feature film video mastering credits include Mike Figgis’ ‘Hotel, Bride Of The Wind’ (Paramount), ‘Revelation’ (Romulus Films) and Michael Winterbottom’s ‘24 Hour Party People.’ (SP)
