CAPITAL FX ORDERS CELCO FURY FILM RECORDER

LONDON-based Capital FX, one of UK's leading digital effects and graphic's companies, has ordered a new CELCO Fury Motion Picture Recorder.
Due to arrive in March 2002 the CELCO Fury will join Capital Fx’s existing 2K and 4K CELCO digital film recorders.
Announced by CELCO the FURY Motion Picture Recorder at Siggraph and IBC 2001, enables feature length digital film transfers at high speed and high resolution.
CELCO’s latest advances in digital film recording technology will output a high- resolution frame of film in one second at both high definition and 2K image resolution. This gives an output of around 60 minutes of high resolution digital film a day.
CELCO claim the technology will make laser-based recorders obsolete due to the high speed.
FURY can output any type of film stock including colour and black & white intermediate and camera negative stocks.
In addition, the new system has the capability to output to multiple film formats including 16mm, 35mm, and 65mm 4, 8, 5, 10, and 15-perf - IMAX format. (SP)
