Argosy To Unveil KVM-Over-IP At BVE 2017

News Image
Argosy has been chosen as an exclusive distributor for two new ATEN products, to be revealed at BVE 2017.

The ATEN DVI KVM-over-IP KE Extender Slim is a more compact, entry-level price-point version of the original KE KVM-over-IP Extender that was unveiled at IBC last year. It is aimed at broadcasters who require multiple points of access to its programmes and systems from remote USB consoles (USB keyboard, USB mouse, DVI monitor) from anywhere over a network from master control rooms to rackrooms and editing suites.

The ATEN DVI KVM-over-IP Extender Slim combines KE Series Extenders (KE6900, KE6940 and KE6900ST) with the KE Management Software (CCKM), giving broadcast users shared access and control of their software-based infrastructure via IP, allowing it to be managed with a single keyboard and mouse while screens are merged into video walls.

As an IP-based matrix Extender, it can connect in different ways to fulfil different working environments, such as one-to-one (Extender mode), one-to-many (Splitter mode), many-to-one (Switch mode), or many-to-many (Matrix mode).

Also at BVE, and making its broadcast debut, will be the ATEN CE624 USB DVI Dual View HDBaseT 2.0 KVM Extender, capable of sending two signals over a single CAT6 cable. The Extender integrates the latest HDBaseT 2.0 technologies to provide reliable transmission of video, audio, USB and RS-232 signals. The CE624 delivers high-quality DVI Dual View video, USB 2.0 and RS-232 signals up to 100 meters from the source computer using a single CAT6/6a cable. With a simple cable installation supporting various signals, the CE624 is suitable for applications where convenient remote access is required.

Daniel Hinton, B&C Regional Manager, Argosy, said: "We are delighted to be back at BVE to support broadcasters, not only presenting our traditional portfolio of infrastructure products, but with a broader offering that provides smarter technologies and cost savings for the wider production environment.

"Both these ATEN solutions can support broadcasters as they process ever increasing amounts of content and media files over varying distances. Broadcasters using these solutions can reduce their cabling and infrastructure needs, thus saving a lot of money."

Argosy will also highlight new 4K signal transport technology, including its 4K BNC connectors, MUDIGSA connectors and the MUDIGSA video patch solution (panel, U-link and patch cord), plus a Blackmagic 4K router at BVE 2017.
