Snell & Wilcox to bring a quality image to NAB 2003
Snell & Wilcox, who mark their 30th anniversary in television this year, are now offering HD solutions in every area from program creation to transmission.
Highlighted among these is 'DEFTplus', an enhanced version of Emmy-winning DEFT technology which solves 3:2 pulldown and SD/HD program integration problems.
A new MPEG mastering system which adds metadata while optimising content, transforming it into a valuable asset, will also be demonstrated
Further systems include 'Ukon', a universal format conversion platform designed for use in broadcast, post and production, 'UpCaster', a compact HD upconverter specifically designed to enable US broadcasters to get a high quality DTV picture on air and the 'HD3060', a 3M/E HD switcher designed for high performance live production.
Finally, the Snell & Wilcox switcher range has been expanded with the new HD and SD 'SwitchPack' series, which includes powerful, ultra-compact switchers designed for live broadcast and post-production environments.
