BBC Announce Michael Bublé Special

BBC One and BBC Music have confirmed a special entertainment show which will air later this year.

Michael Bublé at the BBC will be hosted by Claudia Winkleman and will see Michael accompanied by his band, plus a 30+ piece orchestra as he performs a selection of his classic hits and songs from his new album, 'Nobody But Me'.

Filmed in front of a live studio audience at MediaCityUK in Salford, the Canadian will also chat to Claudia about his music, his family and what inspires him – with a few surprises along the way.

Michael Bublé at the BBC follows a special 'Adele at the BBC' which aired on the channel last October and was subsequently nominated for Best Entertainment Programme at the BAFTA Awards.

Commenting ahead of the 60-minute show, Michael said: "I loved Adele at the BBC and I'm so excited and honoured to have been invited by the BBC to do my own show for them. I'm sure it will be a blast."

Claudia added: "When you are asked 'would you like to interview Michael Bublé and watch him sing?' you don't say no. You change your whole life to accommodate this request. I can't wait."

Bob Shennan, Director of BBC Music and Controller of Radio 2, commented: "I'm incredibly proud that BBC Music are able to bring this world exclusive show to BBC One, continuing our commitment to music whilst giving viewers a must-see TV treat."

The recording of Michael Bublé at the BBC will take place in MediaCityUK studios in Salford in October, for transmission in November. Registration to appear in the audience is now open.
