Avid|DS added to TVX post-production suite

AVID Technology Europe have completed the delivery of an Avid|DS system to the producers of The Fantasy Channel, Television X.
The addition of the Avid|DS system to the existing post-production equipment at Television X is a logical progression in their ongoing development of the facility, which currently houses four Avid Media Composer suites, three edit/combustion systems and four linear Digibeta suites.
Paul Dunthorne, head of broadcasting at Television X, said: "We make a lot of previews and promos for our six channels, most of which require a lot of compositing work. We have been using combustion for this kind of work up until now, but felt we needed something with a bit more power. Speed is also very important as our turnaround time is very short. The Avid|DS system’s remote processing capabilities, together with its extensive toolset, made it an ideal choice.” (GMcG)
