UPPM Launches New Music Label

News Image
Universal Publishing Production Music (UPPM) has announced its newest music label, Seventh Sense. The label specialises in music designed for trailer music and video games music.

Seventh Sense launches with seven albums, each with seven tracks that are specifically created for theatrical cinematic trailers, TV trailers and game producers. The tracks are designed with film campaign syncs in mind, and are inspired by everything from The Avengers film franchise to the latest Pixar releases. The label also specialises in music for sports TV promotion and sports related trailers, as well as catering for TV programme makers.

Trailer music has risen in popularity, specifically through use in TV entertainment and sport formats where larger orchestral scores are utilised to enhance the drama of the programme. With Seventh Sense, rather than just offering heavy, impact driven music that is already widely available, the label focuses on servicing an alternative niche by providing albums such as Emotive Songs that let the vocals tell the story and Mischief & Mayhem for a more fun family-oriented film music.

To launch Seventh Sense, UPPM created a virtual reality 360 video featuring the 74-piece Prague Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by John Ashton Thomas which can be viewed here.

A behind-the-scenes video was also created in Budapest and features Andrew Stannard, Senior Producer at UPPM, showcasing the work that went into the live orchestral music creation. It can be viewed here.

Andrew Stannard, Senior Producer at UPPM, said: "The recording process behind the creation of any music is hugely significant to the output, and this 360 virtual reality video really demonstrates the complexity and hard work that went into the music for Seventh Sense. Recording live orchestra rather than relying on sampled instruments and synthesizers really makes a difference to the quality of the final product and so we really wanted to bring this to life. We're proud of every element that goes into the production of our music and this video in particular has proved to be a perfect way to showcase this."
