McMillan win Scottish Investors In People award

Audio visual and broadcast specialists McMillan have been presented with the Investors In People award by the Scottish Enterprise Tayside.
The company, which originated in Arbroath in 1982 and now has a network of 13 regional offices across the UK and Ireland, specialise in the design, provision and installation of audio visual and professional broadcast equipment.
Corporate Affairs Director Gordon Watson, on receiving the award at the company's National Head Office in Arbroath, described the award reflected the dedication and professionalism of the staff.
"Working towards the IIP status has meant developing several areas of business practice. Answering the call from clients to have trained and skilled staff to deal with at every point, the company changed its practises and began to implement a detailed and documented plan to ensure that customer needs were met at every juncture," he said.
McMillan has a formal induction programme for new employee for the first three months of their start with the company and leads into an ongoing performance development process. During the audit for the recommendation of the award, the company was found to be among the top 10 per cent of all the companies the auditor had seen.
McMillan have branches at Aberdeen, Arbroath, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Newcastle, Preston, Leeds, Manchester, Bristol, Soho, Belfast and Dublin.
