XL Video supply V festival

XL Video supplied four of their new Sony E10 cameras, plus their OB truck, at Weston Park for the V Festival’s main stage IMAG mix.
Cameras were situated at front of house, two in the pit and a hand held for reverse shots on-stage.
To maximise the dynamics and creative flow of the extremely tightly run show, it was mixed by the two main video directors – Ruary MacPhie, fresh off the Robbie Williams 'Escapology' tour, and Mark Antoniuk. They were joined by several guest directors including Dan Ormrod and Laurence Delaney, plus Phil Woodhead who mixed for David Gray.
XL also assisted event production and design company ITCH with multiple projection and video walls in the Virgin mobile 'Red Light' tents at both sites, and supplied plasma screens to the backstage, artist bar and artist compound at the Weston site. They also looked after the dance tents and the cinema tents at both sites.
In addition to this generic support, XL also supplied crew, equipment and engineers for the various artists with which they are currently touring, who also featured in the V line up. These included Coldplay (director Nick Whitehouse, LD Bryan Leitch, XL Engineers Alan Yates & Freddie Torrelli); David Gray (director Phil Woodhead), Underworld (director Clarke Anderson), Lemon Jelly and Big Brother.
