BAL 2800 series extends third-party compatibility

News Image
BAL Broadcast are due to extend their 2800 series analogue distribution system to allow compatibility with other manufacturers' obsolescent products.
The company have recognised that there is still a significant requirement for analogue video and audio infrastructure equipment. As such, BAL have affirmed support for analogue systems by improving third-party compatibility.
Director of Engineering, Eric Vavasour, said: "We believe that the 2800 series provides a very cost-effective solution to most of the analogue distribution requirements. It is a well-tried range with an excellent track record of reliability."
He continued: "We are extending the range to provide a degree of compatibility with other manufacturers' products. This will allow BAL 2800 rack systems to be fitted as substitutes for products which have been made obsolete or are now difficult to obtain."
The 2800 series already has an extensive catalogue of cards and the Video Distribution Amplifiers cover the whole range from simple DA, to delay DA in standard and HDTV versions. Within the same racking system, specialised functions such as switchers and YUV/RGB matrices are available.
A comprehensive package of analogue audio products, including DA's, switchers and stereo/mono converters, are available.
BAL Broadcast supplies an array of digital equipment to the broadcast and allied markets.
