Innovation TK reveals its Millennium Machines at NAB

Innovation TK, the UK-based film scanner equipment manufacturer, will reveal one of the market's fastest 6K CCD film scanners – the ITK Northlight – at NAB's South Hall, booth L6053.
The company will demonstrate the Northlight and a host of new features on two Millennium Machine telecine products. One machine will be demonstrated in a conventional telecine suite set up with a Da Vinci 2K, the other will be on the 5D stand in data mode with a Synergy Controller from Tangent Devices and a 5D Commander.
ITK will also be unveiling a new 16mm lens with greater resolution and increased light throughput, autoshading (which automatically adjusts the machine shading) and a new aperture corrector with the ability to reduce or increase the visibility of grain.
ITK Managing Director, Stuart Hunt, said: "The new Millennium aperture corrector was designed to minimise the visibility of film grain in the image without compromising sharpness. The user has control over the amount of sharpening or softening, as well as the radius and coring level. This effect can create the sharp digital images preferred by some facilities - copying the look of CCD telecines."
The ITK Northlight is a state-of-the-art CCD digital scanner with superior image quality, designed by FilmLight and manufactured and distributed by ITK. Incorporating the latest 8K tri-linear CCD sensor, the Northlight scans 4K at 4.7 seconds per frame – nearly twice the speed of its closest rival.
The ITK Northlight has already scanned high-profile titles at Framestore-CFC, including 'Blade 2' with Wesley Snipes, 'Resident Evil' and '51st State' starring Samuel L Jackson and Robert Carlyle.
Delphi Durrant, ITK Managing Director, said: "Many people were surprised to see the company that has always championed CRT technology launching a CCD based film scanner. However, ITK's view of technology hasn't changed, it's simply a matter of applying the appropriate technology to meet a particular need."
In addition to the ITK Northlight, ITK manufacture the Millennium Machine telecine and Millennium Lite. Innovation TK’s telecine upgrade products include the TWiGi system, the SCAN’dAL, and the Y-Front.
Founded in 1994, Innovation TK Ltd is a leading film-scanning technology company providing cutting-edge digital design and committed to round-the-clock customer support.
