Satmission Launches Satellite At IBC

Satmission AB has said it will be celebrating ten years in business and showcasing the Satmission Streamline SMP 155DA Antenna, a new drive-away broadcast satellite antenna system at IBC2014 (12-16 September).

The company will be exhibiting at OE106 in the RAI’s outdoor exhibit area with the high gain Antenna system installed in a Land Rover Discovery DSNG vehicle, designed and built by UK-based systems integrator Broadcast Networks.
The Antenna is optimised to meet stringent weight budgets and is equipped with a redundant/phase-combined 400W amplifier system from Communications & Power Industries (CPI) resulting in an EIRP above 70 dBW.
The satellite's low profile and weight enable a traveling speed of up to 220km/h.
The Antenna is of Gregorian dual-offset design and made of carbon fiber, and is compliant with Eutelsat, Intelsat and FCC requirements. The typical deployment time is less than one minute, and the system is equipped with GPS, Fluxgate Compass and DVB2 receiver.
