Digital TV Labs Chosen As Accredited Test Centre For Ghana DTT Receiver Conformance

Digital TV Labs has been appointed as an accredited test centre for DTT receiver conformance in Ghana, supporting the country's digital switchover.
To help facilitate Ghana's migration from analogue to Free to Air digital broadcast, Digital TV Labs is providing conformance testing services for receiver manufacturers at its ISO IEC 17025 certified facilities. By passing specified tests, products will conform to the country's new DVB-T2 specification and gain an official logo guaranteeing quality to consumers.
Digital TV Labs was appointed by the National Communications Authority (NCA), which regulates communications via broadcast - television, radio, cable, satellite and other technology used for the deployment of communications services in Ghana. The NCA is overseeing the complete digital switchover in the country.
Compliance testing of digital terrestrial television (DTT) receivers will be carried out in accordance with the Ghana DTT Conformance Regime. As an accredited test lab Digital TV Labs' tests will include RF and SI/PSI tests.

This most recent venture builds on Digital TV Labs presence aiding Digital Switch Over in Africa, including South Africa. The company continues to build its profile in Africa and will be presenting at Digital Broadcast Switchover Forum in Tanzania this month.
