Snell To Show Latest Product Innovations At CABSAT 2014

At this year's CABSAT, taking place from 11-13 March 2014 at Dubai's World Trade Centre, Snell will be showcasing its latest product innovations to help broadcasters, content owners and content providers to process, manage and present their valuable media content. In addition, Snell will also demonstrate its latest updates to offer 4K support at no additional cost.
Kahuna 360 , Snell's multi-format live production switcher will be available for demos to showcase its enhanced flexibility and multi-format support. With its FormatFusion 3 technology, Kahuna 360 can now handle incoming 4K UHDTV feeds, mix them with 1080p and output them as either 4K UHDTV or 1080p, at no additional cost. This exclusive update, will help broadcast and media organizations to adopt these new workflows easily as new opportunities arise.
Snell's product specialists will also be able to discuss Kahuna Maverik, Snell’s new modular-based control surface for Kahuna 360. Providing technical directors with unprecedented freedom in panel design and a flexible, quick and reliable access control interface, Maverik performs in every type of studio and mobile TV programming, saving on space, reducing set-up time and mirroring the studio’s operation.
Snell will be introducing the newly extended ICE channel-in-a-box family to CABSAT. The even smaller 1U version, ICE-LE, brings ICE technology to an exceptionally low price point making it ideal for space and cost-critical applications.
The Sirius 800 family of enterprise-class routing switchers now feature frame synchronization on the units’ Advanced Hybrid Processing (AHP) input and output modules. The improved architecture enables synchronization, clean switching with minimal delay, and independent routing and processing of audio and video signals with no restrictions on signal formats, timing, or number of audio channels.
Using unique award-winning image processing technology, Alchemist OD is a scalable software product which offers unrivalled low-cost, motion-compensated frame rate conversion "On Demand". Engineered with content owners, post production facilities and playout service providers in mind, it combines Snell’s image processing expertise with commodity IT equipment, saving time and money whilst safeguarding quality. Alchemist OD offers seamless global program exchange and multi-device content delivery.
The Vega router allows users to configure any signal port independently for fiber and/or coax (copper) and as an input or output. Vega is the industry's most flexible asymmetric routing solution within a space-saving 2RU 96-port or 4RU 192-port router. A 2U Vega will be on display at CABSAT alongside some of the latest ergonomically designed Luna LED and LCD control panels.
