Adder Takes KVM Roadshow To Post Houses
Adder Technology, the high performance keyboard, video and mouse (KVM) specialist, has been on the road to present its latest solutions to the London broadcast and post production community ahead of IBC. Together with its broadcast distributor, Digi-Box, Adder demonstrated its high performance KVM solutions and previewed the AdderLink Infinity v3.0 firmware to over 60 companies who attended The KVM Roadshow which took place at the Courthouse Hotel in Soho on 18-19 July.
"Many post production personnel do not often get the opportunity to attend IBC so the aim of the roadshow was to bring part of the conference to them. We used the roadshow to present our newly launched AdderLink Infinity v3.0 firmware and demonstrate its capabilities in meeting the needs of the broadcast and post production markets. The roadshow also gave us a platform to demonstrate why this technology has the potential to consign proprietary systems to history," says John Halksworth, Product Manager, Adder Technology.
The AdderLink Infinity range enables operators to use a computer remotely, over almost any distance, with no loss in capabilities and no reduction in video resolution or quality. The new v3.0 firmware has been developed specifically to meet the requirements of the broadcast and post production industry and offers a host of tailored benefits. These include ease of use and deployment with the flexibility, reliability of standard IP infrastructure. In addition, the latest international language support ensures the user gets the best possible experience, regardless of location.
Halksworth explains: "The latest iteration of AdderLink Infinity offers network teaming to provide the extra resilience required for critical applications, making it ideal for use in live broadcast control rooms and on time sensitive projects where a single point of failure cannot affect overall operations.
"The solution is easy to implement and enables a calculable ROI because it operates over standard IP infrastructure. The days of the old proprietary solution where you had to buy a crate in the middle of a fixed size are over.
"Moreover, when using this technology the user sees exactly what comes out of the video card, pixel perfect and colour accurate at speeds of up to 60 FPS. We believe the product has the capacity to be a game changer in the market and bring high performance KVM to a much broader range of customers."
The KVM Roadshow was also a warm-up for IBC, which promises to be bigger than ever for Adder. The company will be showcasing itssolutions for the broadcast and post production market with live demos on stand. In addition, Adder will be running a session at theIBC conference, ‘The Business of Post Production Workflow Across High Speed Networks’, so attendees who were unable to make it to the London event can see the technologies in action. For the fifth year running Adder will be an official IBC technology supporter and will be providing a suite of AdderLink Infinity products to support the conference extension, switching and InfoChannel that runs throughout the show.
Adder will be exhibiting at stand B33 in Hall 7 at IBC from the 13-17 September and hosting its conference session on Friday 13 September in room G102-103 at 15:30.
