Tony Covell to expand LEQ

Tony Covell, founder of VFG and former Senior Business Manager at Optex Rental, has joined LEQ, the rental company formed by his Camera Operator son, Phillip.
Tony Covell will be LEQ's Managing Director, and intends to move the company from its previous camera support orientation into being a cross-spectrum camera rental facility. At the same time LEQ are expanding the variety of camera support equipment available, with equipment such as Polecam, and their newly developed digital 'Jimmy Jib Genesis'.
The move will allow Phillip Covell to concentrate more on the company's field operations, and his work as an Operator making him more available to clients wishing to truly get the best out of the new equipment such as Polecam, and the 'Genesis' head, through his own talents.
Tony who has 30 years of industry experience relishes the challenge of joining the company and sees the future in the niche rental market.

LEQ is re-launching with its new image and brochure at the Production Show, with an array of cameras and equipment. The stand will feature the new 3-axis digital Jimmy Jib 'Genesis', as well as the 'Pup' hydraulic dolly exclusive to LEQ.
In a major new venture with MFX Ltd, they will be representing the Thompson Viper Filmstream camera with Zeiss Digiprimes together with Data capture on Quantel IQ.
LEQ is also introducing a new price structure with a two tier daily rate, which awards additional discount to those clients paying up-front, for example by credit card.
