DVS unveil realtime 2K HD online editing solution

Solutions for the high-end post production / compatibility of DVS hardware with extended format independent realtime HD editing have been unveiled at NAB.
DVS introduced a powerful editing workstation for the high-end post-production and in addition, the company announced extended integration of popular software packages and further development of an on-set digital film capture system.
The combination of DVS' own hard- and software in the new product line-up, will guarantee powerful editing features - dissolves, wipes, finishing and mastering of SD to 2K - all in realtime.
The user will benefit from a format independent timeline, no pre-converting of clips, so the quality of the high resolution data is maintained. The new workstation is compatible with most popular Windows and Linux software packages - altogether a flexible and productive platform for realtime NLE.
The DVS SDStationPlus and Mado range of SD products are now fully compatible with popular editing and compositing software solutions like Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, Discreet Combustion and Eyeon Digital Fusion.
The output of SDStationPlus and Mado is uncompressed, realtime and in 10 bit. The video data is stored in the Windows file system, allowing flexible file access locally or via a high-speed network. DVS will be showing its latest developments for the on-set capture of digital film and there will be live demonstrations of HD digital film acquisition at the booth.
The popular HDStationRGB and HDStationPlus have received a facelift too. The user interface has been reworked for optimal ergonomics and the machine can now handle data rates in excess of 300 MB/sec allowing realtime recording and playback of uncompressed 2K data at 30p.
