Autoscript Brings EPIC To Europe For The First Time At IBC 2012

News Image
Autoscript, part of Vitec Videocom, a Vitec Group company, will present a wide range of professional teleprompting solutions on Stand 11.E55 at IBC 2012, with the EPIC (Enhanced Prompting Information Centre) making its European debut following its launch at NAB 2012. Autoscript’s systems and solutions are all developed and designed in-house to meet real-world challenges and enhance the production process.
The EPIC is a unique all-in-one prompter display and on-air talent monitor vastly simplifies studio equipment, reduces power consumption and enables easier location prompting, while retaining the advanced features and functions of the Autoscript LED prompter series.
The patent-pending design replaces two pieces of equipment with one and features a unique integrated flip-down talent monitor which makes it ideal for both studio and location shooting. It reduces overall system weight compared to separate prompter monitor configurations, increasing compatibility with robotic/support systems; it also streamlines cable management for video, tally signal, and timecode display, and reducespower consumption with the capability to run the entire system via one power cable.
Brian Larter, Managing Director, Autoscript, said: “The EPIC has received an incredibly enthusiastic reception so far, and we are excited to introduce it to the IBC audience. All our products and solutions are designed with our clients’ needs in mind, and we strive to enhance the production process with reliable, high quality products that integrate easily into workflows and provide peace of mind to presenters and producers alike.”
Visitors to Stand 11.E55 will also see Autoscript demonstrate key enhancements to its WinPlus software, and introduce more voice modules for its Voice Plus voiceactivation software, with support now available for Norwegian and Italian. Also on display will be the Magno Wireless Foot Control that allows presenters to control the speed of the script anywhere within the studio location without the need to run cabling, and the Smart Combiner Wireless Receiver that allows up to four separate wireless controllers to be used in a single studio.
Autoscript has also been chosen once again to supply the prompting solutions for IBC TV News, and the IBC Awards Ceremony that takes place on Sunday 9 September.
