AJA Products Win Prestigious IBC Awards

A manufacturer of high-quality and cost-effective digital video interface, have announced that two of their new products introduced at IBC were recognised with awards.
AJA Video Systems's AJA Io XT, a Thunderbolt-enabled I/O device garnered a 2011 STAR Award from TV Technology Europe, and AJA UDC, an Up/Down/Cross Mini-Converter, received a Pick Hit Award from Broadcast Engineering Magazine.
AJA Io XT enables video professionals to connect to a Thunderbolt-enabled Apple computer via a single cable. While a number of Thunderbolt-enabled devices debuted at the Amsterdam exhibition, the AJA Io XT is the only one that provides two Thunderbolt ports to enable daisy-chaining of multiple peripherals. TV Technology Europe editors recognised this innovation with a STAR Award, which celebrates the preeminent technological innovations available to the broadcast industry.
The AJA UDC Up/Down/Cross Mini-Converter provides high quality conversions between SD, HD and 3G video formats in a small and cost effective package. After evaluating the many new technologies introduced at IBC, judges from Broadcast Engineering awarded the AJA UDC with a Pick Hit Award based on the technical and financial improvements that it can bring to a broadcast facility's operation.
