Envy Makes Further Investment In Avid Systems

A supplier of digital media solutions has provided a top UK facility with additional Avid systems for the facility's new Rathbone Place studio.
Envy has acquired a second Avid 64TB ISIS 5000 shared storage system, from Tyrell CCT, along with three Symphony Nitris DX suites to facilitate the large number of projects scheduled for the newly expanded facility.
Envy's commitment to Avid is clearly established with the facility already making a significant investment in Avid solutions for the new studio earlier this year.
The company has recently invested £2 million in almost doubling the size of its Rathbone Place premises, increasing from 15,000 sq ft to 25,000 sq ft. The facility has added 22 more offline suites which will bring the total to 75 Avid rooms including Margaret Street and Foley Street.
Avid's ISIS 5000 shared storage system will allow Envy to effectively handle its tapeless media workflows and data storage requirements. The ISIS 5000 storage solution provides a high degree of flexibility, interoperability, and scalability necessary to grow with the facility's needs. This investment ensures compatibility with existing infrastructure at their current sites in Foley Street and Margaret Street.
Tyrell CCT had responsibility for the installation of the Avid systems provided.
