UTV Programme 'Means Business'

The popular UTV Live Tonight programme returns to the small screen next week with an enhanced focus on business and economics in Northern Ireland.
Presented by veteran journalist, Paul Clark and with features and reports from Business Editor Jamie Delargy and new Business Journalist Naomi McMullan, UTV Live Tonight will feature more in-depth business news, analysing the highs and lows of the business community.
Jamie Delargy, said: "With our new enhanced coverage of business issues UTV Live Tonight will be your guide to the unfolding saga. Will the economy shrug off the debt crisis and start to grow strongly as hoped? It remains a cliff hanger of a story."
Jamie will be joined on Tuesday by UTV's new Business Journalist Naomi McMullan who previously worked in the business department of CNN International in London.
Naomi had a ringside seat throughout the financial crisis in 2008 following all its twists and turns, and hopes to make business and economic news more accessible.
Naomi commented: "Business news affects everyone. From house prices to petrol prices - how we earn, spend and save our money is becoming more important than ever before.
"UTV Live Tonight will take the economic pulse of Northern Ireland to provide viewers with the best information about what direction our economy is headed and why."
Rob Morrison, Head of News and Content, UTV said: "UTV Live Tonight has been a success with viewers since we launched and the time is now right to strengthen our business coverage as we know the local audience wants more news on what is happening in our economy.
"In these times of economic challenges UTV Live Tonight will further enhance our coverage and reflect the business landscape we now live in," he said, adding that it returns next Tuesday at 10.30pm.
