e-mediavision 'Point' to graphics telestrator's power

UK company e-mediavision.com will be showing 'Point', their new graphics telestrator, for the first time in Europe at this year's IBC Show in Amsterdam September 13-17 (stand 3.216).
Earlier this year 'Point' received a lot of interest at its US debut at the NAB 2002 show in Las Vegas, and its UK debut at The Production Show in the UK. A new version is expected to be introduced at IBC 2002.
'Point' is a broadcast-quality graphics telestrator and animation system developed with Sky Sports. The solution is based around a simple touch screen control, the system allows users to freehand draw or point with arrows, icons and animations in real-time over live video, and is ideal for sports commentary and presentation applications.
e-mediavision.com's Managing Director Kash Acharya said: "IBC is the first time broadcasters and producers in Europe will get an opportunity to see the system. The key to the product's success is the operational software and at this show people will have a chance to get hands on and see how easy the system is to use".
The system was initially developed with Sky Television, as a need existed for an easy-to-use real-time graphics product to assist with sports commentating and on-air discussion. The system has been used on air at Sky for the last year covering the FA Premiership Football.
