SIS LIVE Launch Low Cost, Lightweight Vision And Audio Mixer

SIS LIVE's new RouteCase is a portable AV mixer that almost anyone who works in broadcast could find a use for. The unit, comprising a five input vision mixer and ten channel audio mixer, lends itself to a wide variety of tasks.
This lightweight unit was designed to meet the basic needs of broadcasters without overcomplicating matters. David Meynell, Managing Director of SIS LIVE, said: "We developed RouteCase to offer maximum flexibility for multiple applications within exceptionally compact, lightweight and ergonomic packaging."
The fully synchronous vision mixer can handle HD or SD digital video and has two built in upconverters to cope with mixed HD and SD sources. It also has a DVI input allowing a laptop to be used for graphics or feeding edited material directly from a PC. It also has two framestores, camera tally outputs, a wide range of wipes and mixes and internal test pattern generation.
The audio mixer can handle mic level inputs - with or without phantom power and line level inputs - balanced or unbalanced and has multi segment LED metering, built in loudspeakers and headphone outputs.
The 15" LCD screen built into the lid of the RouteCase displays the multiviewer output of the vision mixer which can be set to give five to ten screens depending on requirement.
Operating from 12vDC with a power consumption of around 40W makes operating the unit from batteries a real option, a typical camera battery giving over two hours of use.
The size of the unit is 410mm x 300m x 100m and weighs only 4.8kg.
