Eyeheight announces ultra-low-cost vision mixer

Eyeheight's new IRIS-Light SDI digital vision mixer is an ultra-low-cost 8-input/4-output version of the standard 12/4 IRIS.
Configured for use in compact post-production suites, outside broadcast and mobile production vehicles or wherever space is at a premium, IRIS-Light performs full 10-bit mixing with programmable mix times and automatic or manual transitions.
Integral features include a wipe, edge and matte generator with user-adjustable edges.
IRIS-Light can be locked to external SDI reference sync and continues operation in the absence of source signals. Up to eight downstream keyers can be incorporated.
Crosspoints can be controlled by a programme/preset pushbutton panel with T-bar vision mix/wipe. EDH re-insertion is provided on main outputs. AES audio crosspoints are optional.
IRIS-Light is designed to handle widescreen and standard aspect ratios and is available for 625 and 525-line markets. Developed from the field-proven geNETics-based presTX master control switcher, IRIS and IRIS-Light are fully compatible with Eyeheight's wide product range and occupies a compact 1U MB-9 Maxi-Box chassis with remote control panels.
Founded in 1992, Eyeheight specialises in broadcast-quality production equipment and interface systems based on two modular product platforms: UNI-Box and Digital geNETics.
