World's Greatest Cities Goes Global

The world's most iconic metropolitan areas are to get a wider than ever audience with news that DRG's worldwide sales for ITV1's primetime factual series The Greatest Cities in the World has expanded to more than 55 territories.
DRG additionally confirmed the significant acquisition of ITV1's new factual special Martin Clunes: Man to Manta – In Search of the Giant Ray.
Patrick Roberts, Vice President - International Sales at DRG said: "We're delighted to confirm that we will be premiering Martin Clunes' fascinating and beautiful documentary Man to Manta at MIPCOM.
"I am also very happy to confirm that The Greatest Cities in the World has been acquired by more than 55 territories.
"These visually spectacular and fascinating primetime series will take audiences on a rollercoaster adventure into tropical oceans and through spectacular cityscape, bringing the faraway to millions of living rooms," he said.
The Greatest Cities in the World is a Modern TV production for ITV1 in the UK, where Griff Rhys Jones paints a landmark portrait of each metropolis revealing what gives the most impressive cities their unique identity. The 6 x 1 hour series has been acquired by BBC Worldwide Channels for BBC Knowledge in Asia and Poland; Discovery World HD (Canada); ABC Television (Australia); DR (Denmark); ERT (Greece); Living Channel (New Zealand); TV3 (Catalunya, Spain) and YLE (Finland).
As international distributor for the primetime family comedy-drama Doc Martin starring Martin Clunes, now watched in more than 200 territories worldwide, DRG will launch Martin Clunes: Man to Manta - In Search of the Giant Ray at MIPCOM this October.
The one-hour television special is presented by Clunes and explores the secret world of manta rays living in the tropical oceans around the Maldives.
