ITN Source Adds TEFL Content

The footage sales arm of news producer ITN, is expanding its business-to-business education proposition, Education Clip Library (ECL), to include TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) content.
The new clips enable educational publishers to include video in their multimedia products for students at an advanced stage of English learning. To coincide with the addition of the TEFL footage, ITN Source's newly re-launched website enables publishers to more easily search, license and download video.
ECL is a unique digital service of video teaching materials aimed at global educational publishers, curriculum providers and broadcasters who are looking to add inspiring video content to their products including DVD, online, mobile and TV services. The new clips are aligned with the TEFL curriculum and aimed at students aged 14+ and come complete with transcripts and can be integrated into lesson plans to help pupils achieve learning objectives.
The videos cover two areas "Being British" and "Grammar." "Being British" contains cultural footage on subjects such as historic sites, galleries, museums, social heritage, literary figures and the monarchy. "Grammar" illustrates examples of day-to-day verbal exchanges covering off situations such as hailing a cab, asking for directions and making a restaurant reservation.
Asha Oberoi, Managing Director, ITN Source said: "The addition of TEFL content illustrates our ongoing commitment to the education sector. These clips have been especially created to meet demand from publishers who are actively seeking video materials to facilitate language learning, in particular materials which show real-life situations and will optimise the learning experience.
"Through a new website with increased functionality, we look forward to working with publishers to deliver ECL clips that fit their TEFL offerings."
The launch of the TEFL content follows a number of key education deals in the global marketplace for ITN Source including agreements with China's biggest foreign education publisher, FLTRP, The Ministry of Education in Singapore and Archipelago Learning in North America.
