Eyeheight Reports Its Most Successful NAB

A designer and manufacturer of SDI/HD-SDI equipment has reported a very positive response from NAB 2010 exhibition visitors.
The first in its new complianceSuiteFC range of plug-in software modules for Apple Final Cut Studio and Final Cut Express were on show and Eyeheight were delighted with the feedback.
"This was one of Eyeheight's most successful ever NAB shows," commented Sales Director Martin Moore. "Our booth location in the North Hall near some of the industry's largest exhibitors ensured consistently high traffic flow. We received several hundred requests for trial versions both of the new legalEyesFC video legalizer and its integral safeEyesFC safe-area generator and image measurement module. Our commitment to hardware production remains strong but software-based solutions look set to figure very substantially in our future product development plans."
Eyeheight's legalEyesFC video legalizer is a plug-in based on the company's long experience of broadcast signal legalization. It offers composite, RGB and simultaneous composite-plus-RGB legalisation, all with user-adjustable soft clipping. legalEyesFC supports PAL and NTSC composite domains and Eyeheight’s proprietary advanced non-linear predictive filtering process which reduces the risks of content rejection. SafeEyesFC is a safe-area generator and image measurement module which provides an extensive range of broadcast safe-area markers and pixel-accurate text height measurement for commercials compliance.
Eyeheight also introduced its LE-2nM fully-featured HD/SD SDI multi-rate video legalizer. Shown in prototype at IBC 2009 and now in full production, the LE-2nM auto-detects incoming SDI or HD-SDI video at 1080i/50/59.94, 720p/50/59.84, 625/50 or 525/59.94 and applies the appropriate legalising format. Six user memories and common presets are provided. Features include Eyeheight's clobberRing automatic luma overshoot and undershoot suppression together with luma and chroma gain, black level adjustment, hue rotation, adjustable clipping levels and soft clipping knee levels. In addition to the Le-2nM, two variant models are available. Model LE-2nU has essentially the same features plus the capability of 1080p dual link operation. Model LE-2nS is a standard-definition version.
