               Easter Rising Film To Shoot Next Year
                    A film about the 1916 Easter Rising is set to begin shooting in Ireland next year.
British actor Gary Oldman will star as rebel James Connolly in the €20 million blockbuster Easter Sixteen, which is due to begin shooting in Dublin next April.
Australian actor Guy Pearce will co-star as Padraig Pearse, while Harry Potter actor Ian Hart will portray Thomas Clarke.
The film's line-up also includes Chris O'Donnell, Elaine Cassidy and Anthony La Paglia.
The film will be directed by Dublin-born actor Jason Barry and this will be his first time behind the camera. Barry will also appear in the film as Roger Casement..
Shooting is expected to last ten weeks. The filming location is being kept secret, although it has been reported that sites such as Kilmainham Jail and the GPO are expected to be used as locations.
