About The Irish Film Board

Bord Scannán na hÉireann/the Irish Film Board (IFB) is the national development agency for the Irish film industry investing in talent, creativity and enterprise.

The Irish film industry has recived much international recognition and awards over the last decade. Find out more about the industry and how it works here with facts, figures, reports and contact for our industry guilds.

We provide loans and equity investment to independent Irish film-makers to assist in the development and production of Irish films. The Board also acts to improve the marketing, sales and distribution of Irish films and to promote training and development in all areas of film-making.
