Broadcasters In The Middle East And North Africa Invest In Autodesk

Several broadcasters and post-production facilities in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region have recently invested in Autodesk editing, finishing, visual effects and grading systems through Autodesk’s reseller Brainwaves.
Qatar-based broadcaster Al Jazeera has upgraded the Autodesk systems it has installed for its children’s channel to the Autodesk Flame 2007 visual effects system. It has also signed up to Autodesk’s Systems Subscription programme to keep its systems up-to-date with the latest features and enhancements at a more affordable cost and with less disruption.
Kuwait’s Al Watan Television has invested in a new Autodesk Smoke 2007 editing and finishing system. The new Kuwait City-based broadcaster aims to become the first all-HD station for regional audiences. The news, entertainment and sports channel is owned by Dar Al-Watan, a Middle Eastern publishing house that distributes one of Kuwait’s leading national newspapers and a number of regional publications.
Egyptian facility Spot 2000 has invested in an Autodesk Lustre 2007 digital grading system and new Saudi facility Dunia Multimedia has invested in an Autodesk Smoke 2007 system and an Autodesk Flame 2007 visual effects system.
