LONDON FILM FESTIVAL GETS NEW TITLE

THE LONDON Film Festival have announced a new title sponsor and a new official name, The 44th Regus London Film Festival (RLFF.
This move guarantees funding of more than £1 million over the next three years for the Festival.
The extra financial boost supplied by Regus allows the RFLL to fend off a rise in ticket prices as we’ll as extending this year’s offering by an extra 20 feature film titles.
Regus instant offices, the UK’s largest operator of business centres has previously sponsored international business and sporting events.
Sean Morgan Managing Director of Regus said: “This is Regus first move into a major sponsorship and we are extremely excited at having been able to support such a major and valuable cultural event as the RFLL.”
The Evening Standard returns as a major sponsor supporting the RFLL ‘Festival on the Square’ strand plus the Leicester square ticket booth. American airlines are again main sponsors making a valuable contribution to bringing filmmakers in and also sponsoring a Masterclass.
New main sponsors are Blackstar.co.uk and Hello! Magazine.
Adrian Wooton director of the 44th Regus London film Festival said: “The festival has gone from strength to strength and none of that could have been achieved without the tremendous support shown by our sponsor, some of whom have been with us for many years.
“A three-year title sponsorship deal with Regus enables us to look to this year’s festival and the future with renewed confidence, and that combined with other support means that we can continue to offer a truly unique film festival to the public.”
The RFLL runs from 1 – 16 November 2000. The RFLL programme will be unveiled on September 13.
