Brick House Video announce HD Switcher and HD Standards Converter products

Enhancements, options and an HD-rich future will be the theme at Brick House Video's NAB Booth No. SU 230.
The well-known manufacturer of portable and compact production and post-production equipment will introduce options designed to broaden the reach of its award winning product line that includes vision switchers, format converters and a fully featured broadcast specification standards converter.
Recognized for superior technology by TV Technology with a STAR award at IBC 2005, Brick House Video's Proteus standards converter marks its first anniversary by offering an Aspect Ratio Conversion function available as an option. The unit, available at an extremely attractive price point, addresses lip sync errors with a fully integrated audio delay and synchronization (up to several seconds) in a highly compact unit. Originally introduced at NAB 2005, Proteus is currently in use by major broadcast customers worldwide and is being used extensively at the Winter Games in Turin.
In addition to Proteus, Brick House Video will offer options that will widen the appeal of its Callisto range of hybrid SDI/composite switchers to applications where simple push button control or automation is needed such as master control, back-up units or in SNG trucks.
The first option - a new audio module - will provide silent audio switching with cross fade options. The second - Callisto-F will incorporate push button controls on the front panel (as well as the industry standard control interface) to allow direct operation without the need for a remote control panel. The Callisto family carries all the necessary facilities for effective field and in-house vision mixing and is 525/625 compatible.
NAB will also set the stage for Brick House to announce the launch of the HD versions of its popular Callisto switcher and Proteus standards converter.
Brick House Video will also display its suite of existing products including the Callisto-R, a rack-mount 8-channel framestore SDI switcher with DSK and composite inputs, the Callisto-P portable 6-channel framestore SDI switcher with DSK and optional composite inputs, Callisto-C control Panel, VTB-2A stand-alone 4-channel composite field switcher, Proteus Standards Converter, and io portable format converter range.
