Sky Receives Seven Nominations For 2024 Royal Television Society Programme Awards

Sky has received seven nominations for the 2024 Royal Television Society Programme Awards across kids, entertainment, factual and sports programming.

The nominations are:
• Children's Programme – FYI Investigates: Kids Who Vape (Fresh Start Media). In this documentary, FYI presenter Braydon investigates why there’s been such a rapid increase in the popularity of e-cigarettes. Is it the brightly coloured packaging and sweet flavours that attract young people - or are there other factors at play?

• Comedy Entertainment Programme – Rob & Romesh Vs (CPL Productions). Over five series, Rob Beckett and Romesh Ranganathan have taken on hilarious challenges including the West End stage, dancing on ice, world-famous dog show Crufts and even jetting off to Sin City to learn magic.

• Entertainment Performance - Rob Beckett and Romesh Ranganathan for Rob & Romesh Vs (CPL Productions). Comedian duo Rob Beckett and Romesh Ranganathan challenge themselves to try new hobbies and experiences in Rob & Rom Vs. Their most recent challenge, Rob & Rom VS F1 is available now on Sky and NOW.

• History – The Man Who Played with Fire (Raw TV). The Man Who Played with Fire explores the 1986 assassination of Sweden’s Prime Minister, Olof Palme, and bestselling crime author Stieg Larrsson’s investigation into the case.

• Single Documentary – Otto Baxter: Not a F***ing Horror Story (Story Films; Archface Films). Otto Baxter: Not A F***ing Horror Story is a feature length documentary following Otto Baxter, a 35-year-old man with Down Syndrome, over six years, as he writes and directs a foul-mouthed, autobiographical comedy-horror-musical set in Victorian London. Otto Baxter: Not a F***ing Horror Story is produced by Story Films and Archface Films, in association with Sky Studios, and developed with the support of the BFI awarding National Lottery funding.

• Sports Presenter, Commentator or Pundit - Nasser Hussain for The Ashes (Sky Spots Cricket). Former England captain Nasser Hussain is a familiar face across Sky Sports Cricket coverage, bringing the highs and lows of the Ashes series to viewers.

• Sports Programme –The Ashes (Sky Sports Cricket). The Ashes coverage on Sky Sports has captivated viewers, with 2023's opening fixture bringing Sky Sports’ highest ever viewing figures for a Test match, with a peak of 2.12 million viewers in home.
