Fujinon's new broadcast quality lens now available from Psyer-SGI
Pyser-SGI has added the new Fujinon A18x7.6BERM/BERD 2/3” format broadcast quality ENG lens to its product line.
Designed using Fujinon's exclusive GO-Technology, the A18x7.6 provides significantly improved optical performance compared to conventional lenses. Combined with the longest focal length (137 mm) and widest angle of view (60 degrees 8 minutes) of any lens in its class, it sets a new standard for all news and field applications.
Based on a principle of optimising all optical parameters, Fujinon's GO-Technology can achieve up to 20-30% optical improvement over conventionally designed lenses.
The many features of the A18x7.6 include good ramping characteristics, greatly reduced ghosting and flare, virtually no pumping, minimised longitudinal and lateral chromatic aberrations, and high MTF.
The 7.6 to 137 mm focal length of the A18x can be increased to 274 mm using the 2x extender. Maximum aperture ratio remains constant at F1.8 up to 103 mm (ramping), and MOD is 0.6 m. The weight of the lens is 1.53 kg without hood.
