BVE: Stay One Step Ahead With root6
Reseller and Systems Integrator root6 will meet the needs of engineers and creatives alike at BVE where a range of technologies will be shown to address evolving industry trends that will become mainstream issues in the year ahead.
High Dynamic Range, driven by the formidable weight of Netflix, Amazon and YouTube will be featured in an Avid HDR workflow with Baselight grading for the most accurate brightness and contrast.
BVE will see the launch of ContentAgent v3.5, a major software release for ROOT6 Technology's file-based workflow management and automation platform. Globally installed, ContentAgent now benefits from a host of new features including a number of Avid interoperability tools including AAF merger and sequence creation and an Edit While Transcode function.
Secure, accelerated file delivery is facilitated through integration with Aspera and FileCatalyst and support for NexGuard now enables forensic watermarking. ContentAgent's popular Workflow Designer tool has been significantly enhanced allowing improved handling of zooming around the largest and most complex workflows and a new Watchfolder interface simplifies configuration and monitoring.
Storage management and archive is the bread and butter of post and root6 will demonstrate a range of practical and proven solutions to save time and money. MatrixStore from Object Matrix is an object based, plug and play, storage appliance that allows users to keep their digital information online and protected with minimal administrative effort.
Strawberry from FlavourSys is award-winning software that sits on top of existing storage for project sharing. Essentially it keeps everything tidy without the need to resort to shared storage in Avid and Adobe environments.
Archive management will be demonstrated with XenData software which manages one or more automated data tape libraries to create a cost effective digital video archive.
Also seen on the stand will be the latest HD monitors from Boland and 4K monitors from Canon together with a demonstration of Barnfind's CWDM technology. This enables a number of uncompressed signal types including 4K video to be run on a single fibre to the root6 stand.
Root6 staff will be on hand throughout the show to discuss workflow and SI requirements, technical support and training, including accredited Avid Learning Partnership courses on ISIS and Interplay.
Root6 will be at BVE 2016, Stand 15.
