Inscriber and Quantel technologies contribute to blockbusters

Technologies from Inscriber, a leading provider of broadcast and post-production solutions, and Quantel, a leader in digital technology, have contributed to the production of various blockbuster movies this summer.
The film industry requires the creation of credits, subtitles and other textual elements during production of theatrical or DVD release productions. Using products such as Quantel’s qScribe, a text editor that incorporates Inscriber’s award winning technology, studios can create text during the digital intermediate phase of production - thus maintaining creative flexibility and reducing production costs.
The impressive list of blockbusters includes: 'Pirates of the Caribbean', 'Spy Kids: 3D', 'Once Upon a Time in Mexico', 'Bad Boys 2', 'Terminator 3' and 'Ghosts of the Abyss'. These movies join a list of past movies including 'Star Wars Episode 2: Attack of the Clones', 'Men with Brooms', 'Monsoon Wedding' and 'Bullet Proof Monk'.
The technology used in the production of these movies is another testimonial to Inscriber and Quantel’s innovative and powerful solutions. It is also represents the strength of Inscriber’s partnerships with leading industry experts.
Quantel headquartered in Newbury, UK has offices in the USA, mainland Europe, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea and Australia. The company has been at the forefront of the use of digital technology as a creative tool for the last 25 years and it is now using its vast experience to create tools for the new digital age - covering everything from terrestrial and multi-channel television, to broadband internet, DVD and e-cinema.
Quantel's development of generationQ has been hailed as a radical, all-encompassing, new concept that offers total scalability in both hardware and software across post production, graphics and broadcast for multiple resolution, team-working production environments.
