Quantel enhance generationQ with Inscriber CG

Inscriber have announced that Quantel have chosen to integrate Inscriber's advanced text and graphics engine right across Quantel's new generationQ range of solutions.
Inscriber is committed to understanding each partner's unique application in order to offer a solution that supports it and maximises the enhancement potential for end-users.
The flexibility of Inscriber's solution for Quantel means they can repurpose Inscriber capabilities, originally developed for Quantel's iQ system, and make the same benefits available across all generationQ products.
Now integrated into Quantel's generationQ under the QScribe banner, Inscriber's character generator delivers improved text and graphics quickly and easily. generationQ manifests itself as a new generation of scalable, integrated technologies for editing, effects, graphics, news and production applications right across the broadcast and post-production markets.
"Inscriber's character generator engine is the best in the business, which made it a natural choice for generationQ," said Steve Owen, Quantel Business Manager, Post Production.
"The close working relationship between Inscriber and Quantel means that we can fully exploit its multi-res capabilities right across the entire generationQ range from software to the fastest hardware in the world."
All Quantel generationQ products will ship with QScribe, a customised module that directly utilises Inscriber's award-winning text generation capabilities. Video professionals can gain greater creative expression in even the most demanding environments to produce multi-resolution graphics, titles, rolls, crawls and more with QScribe.
Users will experience the same look and feel they would expect while working in a Quantel environment, and benefit from Inscriber's drive to optimise for speed and flexibility. Inscriber's capabilities are available across Quantel's complete range of generationQ solutions: eQ, iQ, gQ, QPaintbox, QEffects and QEdit.
"Quantel has an exciting vision for the future of news, graphics and post. Inscriber is proud to have our graphics technology integrated into all of the generationQ solutions. The synergy of Inscriber and Quantel means more creative freedom at any resolution," stated Dan Mance, President of Inscriber.
