HARMAN's AKG K812 Headphones Scoop TEC Award At NAMM 2015
HARMAN's AKG K812 reference headphones have scooped a TEC Award for Technical Achievement in the 'Headphone/Earpiece Technology' category at the Winter NAMM 2015 show.
The news marks the second year in a row that AKG has won in this category, having earned last year's honours for its K712PRO reference headphones.
The AKG K812 offers an oversized 53mm driver and a copper-covered aluminum voice coil.
"The K812 headphones are the result of an intensive research and development program we embarked on to produce the best sounding headphones on the market, and this TEC Award is further testament that we have achieved our goal," said Philipp Schuster, Product Line Manager, Headphones, AKG. "We are thrilled to win a TEC Award for the second year in a row!"
Presented annually by the NAMM Foundation at the NAMM Show, the TEC Awards recognises the individuals, companies and technical innovations behind the sound of recordings, live performances, films, television, video games and other media.
