Visix Wins 2023 Best Of Show Award At InfoComm

Visix, Inc. has returned from a successful InfoComm Show as a 2023 Best Of Show Award recipient from AV Technology, a Future publication.

Visix was awarded for Choros, an industry-first AR space booking platform that enables fast, contactless bookings from smartphones without hardware, cabling or apps.

Unveiled at the opening of InfoComm, Choros allows users to scan a QR code mounted near a shared space to check room availability, absorb its schedule, and book the room if open. If already booked, Choros will find alternative rooms available to book on the spot. The innovative technology supplants room signs through these capabilities, with native WebAR support built into iOS and Android smartphones to overlay booking options in the user’s smartphone camera view.

"Systems integrators and end users win through receiving all the functionality of a room sign without the need to buy hardware or provide power and network connectivity to shared spaces."

Choros can also be used as a desk booking system, with direct integration to Visix’s new low-cost, pocket-sized wireless EPS 42 Epaper Sign, which also debuted at InfoComm.

Future and participating publications, including AV Technology, require panels of independent judges to talk with product managers, engineers, or other manufacturers’ representatives to best evaluate products and solutions for innovation, feature set, ease of installation/use, and potential overall value to the installation/institution.
