Latest In Streamlined Workflows From Grass Valley On Display At China’s 2012 BIRTV Show

Grass Valley™ will exhibit its latest, field-proven solutions for live production, file-based workflows, and integrated playout applications at the 2012 BIRTV Show, August 22-25. The annual conference, the region’s largest broadcast and professional video production trade fair, will be held at the China International Exhibition Centre in Beijing.
All of Grass Valley’s file-based solutions help users work smarter, while enjoying a rapid return on their investment.
In exhibit stand #8A08, Grass Valley will focus on live production by showcasing its latest generation LDK 8080+ single format and LDK 8000 Elite multiformat HD cameras, as well as the LDK 8300 Live Super SloMo camera system. Attendees seeking the highest level of transmission flexibility will also get a hands-on look at new Grass Valley 3G Transmission (fiber and triax) solutions. On display for the first time in China will be Grass Valley's cost-effective, Karrera™ Video Production Center switcher.
Additionally Grass Valley will also highlight file-based workflows with the GV STRATUS™ (version 2.0) Media Workflow Application Framework shown with tight integration to the Grass Valley EDIUS® Pro 6.5 nonlinear editing software and K2 family of media server products (K2 Summit™ 3G, K2 Dyno™ Replay System, and K2 SAN).
“Grass Valley’s end to end solutions on display serve to enhance our position as a trusted solutions company for our partners and customers.” said Andrew Sedek, Senior Vice President for Asia Pacific for Grass Valley.
Also on display will be the integrated playout solutions with the first showing of the Grass Valley Smart Playout Center™ integrated playout platform and T2™ Intelligent Digital Disk Recorder (iDDR), and the Trinix™ NXT multiformat routing switcher, which will be used for signal distribution throughout the exhibit stand. These multichannel, integrated, automated playout solutions are the next evolution in the program playout market segment.
“China is a key market for us and the BIRTV exhibition is a strategic platform for us to extend our presence in this region while showcasing the latest advancements of our solutions.” said Sedek. “We intend to strengthen the Grass Valley sales organization and expand customer support initiatives in China.”
As a show of commitment to the Chinese market, Grass Valley will be present in full force, led by Andrew Sedek. He will be accompanied by Robert Song, General Manager for Grass Valley in China, Peter Bruce, Director of Channel Management for Asia Pacific and Radha K. Raman, Regional Marketing Manager for Asia Pacific.
