D2 Video Produções Commits To Grass Valley For New HD Sports Production Facilities

Across South America, Grass Valley continues to be the vendor of choice for live high-definition production.
As the most recent example, D2 Video Produções, a premiere live production company in São Paulo, Brazil, has made a significant investment in new HD production equipment from Grass Valley to meet the growing need for high-quality sports and other types of production.
D2 is building a brand new high-definition OB van and updating its HD studio production infrastructure with new Grass Valley HD cameras, 3X SloMo cameras, slow-motion replay systems, video routers, audio routers and HD video production switchers.
The significant order also includes a comprehensive three-year service contract that will provide D2 Video with warranty extension for all Grass Valley products.

The new OB production vehicle - a fully-equipped Grass Valley HD unit - will allow D2 to meet the growing need for high-quality sports and content production in the Brazilian market. The new truck will feature 12 LDK 8000 Elite HD Multi-Format WorldCam cameras with triax adapters, an LDK 8300 Live Super SloMo camera system, a Kayak digital production switcher, three K2 Dyno and K2 Summit slow-motion replay systems and a Concerto Series HD video routers (96x96 I/O matrix).
The new HD studio production infrastructure being built by D2 Video Produções includes five Grass Valley LDK 8000 Elite multiformat HD cameras on triax cabling and a Kayak HD production switcher with a Grass Valley Jupiter router control system, an Acappella multi-format utility routing system and several conversion modules from the Grass Valley GeckoFlex Signal Processing system.
A long-time Grass Valley customer, D2 Video Produções currently uses a standard-definition OB van with ten Grass Valley LDK 400 cameras, a Kayak DD2 switcher, Concerto Series SD router (64x64) with Jupiter Control System, and numerous signal conversion modules. The company also operates a satellite uplink OB van with several Grass Valley ViBE encoders.
