Anton/Bauer's ElipZ Is Canon Ready

Anton/Bauer’s revolutionary ElipZTM System is already compatible with Canon's new HD handheld cameras, the XH GI and XH A1 models.

The ElipZ System consists of three key accessories for handheld work: First the ElipZ 10k high performance battery delivers virtually all day camera operation; Second the EgripZ, a unique flexible under-camera handheld support affords the camera operator unprecedented camera stability with less fatigue and without restriction of cables or body amounts. The innovative ElightZ on-camera halogen light, which shares power directly from the ElipZ battery, is expected to ship when Canon's cameras are released in Q4.

Shin Minowa, VP of market development for Anton/Bauer, said: "The features, functionality and design of ElipZ products really open the door for fully utilizing the creative capabilities of handheld HD cameras. Together the ElipZ System and the Canon XH G1 and XH A1 camcorders deliver a complementary and complete solution to professional users of handheld camcorders."

Yukiaki Hashimoto, senior Vice President and General Manager of the consumer imaging group at Canon USA, commented: “Extended operating time, stable camera operation and quality on-camera lighting are highly desirable features. Anton/Bauer has worked hard to ensure that their new products would be complementary to our new HD camcorders."
