Futureworks is a unique school, providing creative and technical education and training for today’s convergent media industries, including sound, film, TV, digital arts and games.

We deliver training at all levels, from short courses and bespoke programmes, through to degree and diploma courses.


Using the most advanced real-world facilities, taught by experienced professionals, and with direct support from an extensive list of industry partners, our courses provide students with the skills required to launch, or enhance, their careers.

Training for Freelancers and Professionals

As an Avid Academic Partner, Digidesign Pro School and Apple Authorised Training Centre for Education, we work hand-in-hand with leading technology providers to provide certified courses taught by professionals with a wealth of experience.

Pro Tools – Futureworks is one of only four approved training facilities in the UK and one of eight in Europe that can teach Pro Tools up to the highest level – music, icon and post production expert certification. Futureworks is the only approved teaching establishment to train clients and students on a 32 – channel D Control Worksurface.

Avid – A full range of certified Avid training courses, using Media Composer and supported by an Avid ISIS media network – the first to be used in education in the UK.

Apple – A full range of training for Apple’s Pro Apps; create music in Logic, edit video in Final Cut Pro and bring graphics to life in Motion.

Camera & Lighting – ‘Lights, Camera, Action’ teaches practical operation of Sony’s Z1 HD camera, combined with lighting and camera technique. This can be extended to include video editing training if required.
