The Vitec Group Goes Local

The Broadcast Systems Division of The Vitec Group has announced a new initiative: the Vitec Group "Go Local" programme.
The programme will comprise an extension to its established partnership programmes with camera manufacturers as well as series of locally run events and targeted activities.
Joop Janssen, Chief Executive of The Vitec Group's Broadcast Systems Division, said: "As an industry leading provider of products and services to the broadcast, entertainment and media industries, we have to react in an agile way to the market's changing demands. The Vitec Group's "Go Local" concept is in response to out customers' needs for innovative yet cost-effective strategies to ensure they have our tailored, face-to-face support, on the ground, when and where they need it."
In order to meet the differing needs of global customers, the initiative - in collaboration with channel partners - will immediately see greater focus and budget on in-country activities for priority markets. As a consequence, at IBC2009, The Vitec Group's much reduced stand presence in Hall 9 will highlight only its Anton Bauer, Autoscript, Litepanels and Clear-Com brands, while also offering a meeting point for dealers and customers.
In Hall 1 the Group will exhibit its microwave video products under the Nucomm brand. In addition, the Group will be represented on partner stands and will support the IBC Training Zone and Production Village - as well as supply equipment to the IBC TV News.
Janssen said: "In the current environment, a global, one-size-fits-all approach is simply not effective. Our customers want proof that even with our global presence, we're still able to execute local campaigns which reduce economic and environmental costs while providing hands-on access to our innovative product solutions."
At IBC2009, Anton Bauer, Autoscript, Litepanels and Clear-Com will exhibit in Hall 9, Stand D28 and Nucomm microwave video links will exhibit in Hall 1, Stand B31.
Autoscript, Clear-Com, OConnor, Petrol, Sachtler, Vinten and Vinten Radamec will be represented in the IBC Production Village and Training Zone and on partners' stands.
